alright, I have to give a shout out to :icondarkdarius: for making my week with an amazing (current) rendition of Randall and Xin'Vauk [link] . I am speechless, probably because words can't express. Give this artist some love. Also, check out his addictive comic book series [link]

OK, the choice is at the bottom:
----------------------------------------------------------
To my amazement, it was neither. A medium sized ork chained up so that he can only move his legs to walk, the gretchin pulled and pushed him into the opening. I noticed that he had crudely built bells hanging from random parts of his body as well as piercings and crude tattoos from all parts of his green hide. He reminded me of a few of those dead specimens I glanced at when I rescued Xin from the Inquisitor, only that this one in particular was much more extravagant and terrible at the same time. All of the orks around him begun to back away.

Then he bellowed………………….

The chains and gretchin around him became weightless, as well as some of the rubble. This blood curdling scream grew higher in pitch. My head began to pound, but that was nothing compared to what happened to about 150+ guards within his sight. All of helmeted heads of each and everyone of these men exploded in a bloody red mist. Even several orks near this greenskin had been dealt the same fate.

My vision was blurry, and my nose trickled with blood. Once the screaming stopped, my head cleared. The Shas’ui tapped my shoulder to get me to notice what he was pointing at. All the while I had been focused on this…..terrible creature, the stealth warrior made mental notes on all parts of the battlefield. Sitting above a crumbling sky-scraper, a single silhouette stood, unmoving. I would have thought it was a statue if it weren’t for a single dim muzzle flash from that position. The target was obviously the chained up ork. What surprised me is that the shot didn’t kill him, but more or less stunned the creature into submission. It was in the ground, convulsing, making chain and bell sounds.

From that point, it was ork pandemonium in the clearing. What was left of any living guard units leaped into cover while hundreds of well armored guards came out of hiding (donning a red insignias of some sort) fired directly into the crazed greenskins. Using advanced firepower and organized flanking movements that I hadn’t seen from any regular guard unit. What worried me is that there were some of those Inquisitor servitor skulls moving about picking targets for visuals. These guys were NOT of the 137th but from something else. Nobody informed us that another division had ANYTHING to do with the battle on this planet. The orks began to retreat from the mass amounts of destruction that the guards laid waste, all the while not hitting the chained ork.

I was pulled out of my daze from the Shas’ui. He wanted me to move away from this spot and continue. His concern was not of the guard units on the ground, but who is..or now WAS up on top of the skyscraper, now gone and probably descending to reach his downed target.

Something big is happening. I don’t know what it is, but I need to see what they will do. Where they will go next? Why take so many lives to get this particular target?

The 137th Liberation Unit had been assigned to this planet to fight an unending battle. A losing battle. This planet had no additional tactical uses and resources for the Imperium anymore. Why stay, fight and die? During deployment assignments, there had been no rhyme and reason why some of the 137th moved to attack certain areas. It seemed like it was completely random. It was the case even before my brother and I landed planet side.

This particular unit……..knew what it was doing this deep in Ork occupied territory. And why is the Inquisition here? What are the interest in this particular Ork? I tried to put this together, but the Shas’ui seemed like we needed to stay in the shadows and move on.

DAMMIT!!!!!

The answers could be right here. If only I can stay just a little longer.

Looking back at the Stealth Warrior, I could tell the first signs of impatience. He knew he had no business being here, but he was not leaving without me. Looking out from the safety of the dark room of this building into the clearing, I had to make up my mind:

1) Leave with the Shas’ui. Xin’Vauk might need me…or us. I promised her I would find her again. Since Kai’Faan’s computer is destroyed, they might have a hard time finding their way back. Maybe that is why the Shas’ui needs me. I know the layout of this city better than anybody. And we are so close to her now. In fact, we probably have less than a day’s worth of travel to get to the hidden Tau outpost. Then the Tau can get off this useless rock of a planet and save their plagued colony.

2) Staying here just a little longer could answer some BIG questions. On top of that, the Shas’ui’s suit can listen in on what they are doing here. Why all of this? Why the 137th are fighting orks on this planet. We never had meant to ask these questions, but then again, we weren’t supposed to witness what just happened either. Maybe analyze the threat a little better. If I miss this, even the Tau in this part of the galaxy might be blind to this crucial information. Once we find out, then we make our move towards Xin and Kai. I have a good feeling where they might be.

I will close the votes on November 30th.
