Sometimes, life gets in the way of things, but we are in act 3 of the story, so things are going to heat up, and the gap of time between each chapter will shorten up.

Here are the votes:
28 voted for the Ordo Agent to be possessed
40 voted for the Imperial Major to be possessed

The choice will be at the third part.
---------------------------------------------------------------
Beaten and teased most of my life, I only felt weak and fragile, especially after the emotional losses of my family. How is it that this daemon that is powerful enough to control your mind body and soul, lose grasp of mine? Was it my desire to be worth something to someone for the first time? Was it the Emperor’s will to defeat this daemon? Maybe it because I was getting close to Xin’Vauk, and the bond (which I still don’t completely understand) was getting stronger. I don’t know.

What I do know, is that this creature wanted out from a host it couldn’t control. Even the threat to annihilate me from within seemed empty. I remember hearing about the force of chaos, and the tempting destructive power that presides. The priest used to chant litanies about how men who crave power and immortality will succumb to the seductive warp energies if tempted. I can see how easy it would be. I felt this creature’s potential, and it was terrifying.

Luckily, my needs were simple. Save Xin, return to Kai’Faan, and get both to safety and they shall return to the planetary colony that is in need. Their goals where greater than mine. Above all else, Xin’Vauk shall see her kind again..she deserves it.

With that in mind, I felt the hold on my body weaken from the cloaked woman. I turned, and with conviction I relaxed my hold on the daemon and directed the chaotic emotions and power towards the Major (may the Emperor have mercy on his soul, he did not deserve this), and the pain I felt was excruciating.

Nothing happened after that…….well, nothing happened before I blacked out from the pain. Even the Major still held his resolve as I fell into blackness.

When I opened my eyes, I realized why I was way out of my league. The possessed Major must have wounded her at one point in time. Whatever he/it did, the damage prevented her from “jumping” out of the room. But she was nowhere near helpless. The daemon’s new body seemed to be bruised and battered as well.

I cannot explain to you in detail what the fight was like, but I could tell that the daemon didn’t use the potential I felt when I was the host. The walls in this room were thick, and the door was heavy steel. It would take some considerable noise to attract some attention, but the powers the daemon held could take this room apart. I also realized that the daemon kept its new body constantly between the door and the Ordo Agent. The daemon must have wanted to keep its identity hidden from others.

My faith in the Emperor’s might had been confirmed when I witnessed the wounded and battered lady face off with this warp creature. She fought with passion and heart. What fear she had within seemed all but gone when she landed powerful strikes while evading the daemon’s attacks. Even the weapons the Major carried had been sprawled on the floor, away from the combat. But this daemon’s new host seemed to shrug off any pain from the hits.

Then something happened between them. It seemed that the physical battle went to a mental battle of some sort. Both bodies locked into a paralyzed stasis, faces focused on each other. Both seemed to be in considerable pain.
Then the daemon spoke to me, “BREAK HER FOCUS BOY,” it yelled frantically. Did this daemon underestimate the Agent’s mental skill as well as her physical skill? I got up and moved closer, picking up the Major’s pistol that lay on the floor. The possessed Major’s bloody face became contorted with agony.

“WHY SHOULD I HELP YOU, FEIND?” I yelled back, “You’ll kill me once you are free.” My anger was quite apparent when I pointed the pistol at the daemon’s new face.

“Because,” it grinned back, “This human I have control of knows the access codes and location of your friend.” The daemon fell to his/its knees in pain. The Ordo Agent’s eyes were closed and only seemed to concentrate on the moment. “BREAK HER FOCUS AND I PROMISE TO HELP YOU,” it fell to the ground, nose bleeding, “PLEEEASE!!!”

The Ordo Agent wins, the daemon can be defeated, but I would be executed for hosting a heretical entity and Xin would face a painful future I don’t want to think about. The daemon lives (note I didn’t say win), and I still have a chance to save her.

Grabbing the steel chair, I stepped over the daemon’s new body. I lifted the chair above my head and gripped hard, ready to strike down. There is an entire Tau planet at stake here. If you ask me why I care for a race I hardly know about, I can’t tell you. But what I can tell you is that what happened next is something that I will NEVER remove from my memory.

Hard to imagine that any female with a chest that big can still be that agile though.
