Here is the second part of 4. The choice is at the end of this one.
---------------------------------------------------------------- Morning came (I think) and it was quiet. I pushed open the cover and the little light there was showed me she was waking up. One lesson to learn is never to reach for a dazed xeno, or human for that fact, in the darkness, because I felt a punch in my face, or I think it was. Holy warp, Tau cant punch for sh#t. My baby sister threw laundry at me harder than this. Rest her soul. The next punch I grabbed and held her down (damn thats friggin easy, I could break her in half) till she calmed. I helped her out, but it seemed she lost too much blood. She has hardly strength in her legs.
She pushed a few buttons on her forearm, and then slapped it a few times, after some lights flickered a little before dieing out, she removed the piece from her wounded arm. The Tau pushed something on her helmet, then after a hiss, she removed it from her head. I saw she was in pain, and still dazed (if that is what pain looked like in Tau, I can hardly tell). Her head had received a good sized gash as well, but not as bad as her left arm. Man, I did a crappy job stopping the blood. Her arm was soaked. I tried to see the bandage and the wound, but I couldnt see anything. She grabbed something from her backpack, a small blue disc. She pushed something on it, and let off a blue light, making it easier to see. So I retied the cloth a bit better in the light. She winced in pain, said something in some xeno-gibberish, and used her free arm to open the medic kit. It looked like she used whatever was in there on me for it was empty.
I said out loud to myself that I wished I knew more about basic biology while I was still clumsily trying to tie the cloth tighter. She then replied to me "Your doing fine, but we need to move soon," in Low Gothic. I was surprised she could understand our language, let alone speak it. Once I was done tying the makeshift bandage, she began checking me for injuries. If she did talk, it wasn't much. She also apologized (in Low Gothic) for the punch in the face. Her grasp and grammar on our language was better than half of the recruits of the boot camp last month.
Now what, my luck won't get any better! So what should I do? -Continue to help her along the journey, but slower and vulnerable? We could get to her (our) destination sooner, and maybe she can get some help from her own kind, if she isn't alone? I just hope she isn't expected soon at her destination.
-Find someplace safe that isn't too far and hold up till she (and myself) gather strength to be on our toes (and hooves). After all, we are far away from my own kind, and we are in some unsafe territory. Maybe just half a day rest. I could even try to go back in the darkness where we were attacked and find her pistol again. Although it might be futile in a squad of orks charging us, it's something. ----------------------------------------------------------------
uh. Tau have WS2 and S3. By contrast, a basic Guardsman has WS3 and S3. It's not that Tau aren't strong, they just don't have any kind of technique. A hard punch is very much within their capabilities, so her weakness here is probably due to blood loss.

Sorry if I freaked you out with my first comment. I was wasted. Mixing votka, beer and whiskey wasnt really the best idea...
So, Ive looked at the story. Fine so far, but getting a gun is crucial for their survival. So go for the gun.
Don't worry, I've made worse embarrassing mistakes while liquor AND beer had parties in my system.
I'm glad you kept up. Hope to see you on the next part.
